Australian Turfgrass Management Journal

Australian Turfgrass Management aims to support turfgrass management professionals by providing technical information, industry news and events, profiles, critical appraisals of new products and services, and general information to help them improve their professional recognition and employment.

Since its first edition in February-March 1999, Australian Turfgrass Management has developed into the leading publication for the Australian turfgrass industry both in terms of its content and design. The journal, which is produced bi-monthly and has a print run of just under 5000, is overseen by a team of AGCSA staff members including AGCSA general manager John Neylan, Melissa Wallace (advertising), Brett Robinson (editorial) and Jo Corne (design).

Australian Turfgrass Management includes regular features from some of the turf industry's leading experts, as well as provides a forum for the state superintendent associations and TGAA state associations to communicate with the industry. A dedicated trade section looks at new products to hit the market each edition, while the latest in turfgrass research from around Australia and the world is regularly featured.

In recent years Australian Turfgrass Management has been recognised at both national and international level, collecting a number of awards between 2006 and 2008. At the TOCA International Communications Awards (TOCA - the Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association - is a US-based association composed of editors, writers, publishers, photographers and others involved in green industry communications) Australian Turfgrass Management has won a total of 16 awards in the editorial, photography and design categories. AGCSA editor Brett Robinson has also been honoured at the annual Australian Golf Writers Association annual awards, with Australian Turfgrass Management winning best feature/story in a trade publication in both 2007 and 2008.
