Course Superintendent: Yarrawonga & Border Golf Club

Yarrawonga & Border Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated professional to lead its sporting facilities maintenance team. Yarrawonga & Border Golf Club is Australia’s largest public access golf resort with two championship standard 18 hole courses and a shorter but interesting nine hole course. Sporting facilities also include two bowling greens, two croquet greens and a driving range. Club facilities comprise 68 self-contained accommodation units, modern clubhouse with bistro, café, function centre, fitness centre and more. Situated alongside the Murray River on the NSW/Vic border, it is only three hours drive from Melbourne. The club has over 5,000 members, with 2,400 sporting members. The 120 staff (including 18 ground staff), enjoy good working conditions and receive lots of ancillary benefits.

The successful applicant will report to the club’s golf committee and chief executive officer, and will be responsible for presenting the club’s sporting facilities in the best possible condition in line with the club’s vision.

Key responsibilities include :

• All aspects of sporting facilities maintenance
• Making strategic recommendations to the golf committee
• Optimising output from staff resources
• Preparing and performing within operating and capital budgets
• Ensuring club OH&S standards and procedures are adhered to
• Dealing with irrigation water issues as and when they arise
• Ensuring open communication with the pro shop, captain and vice-captain regarding playing conditions
